Neymar, Barcelona and the Brazilian Who Wants His Money Back

After the World Cup, Brazil is still looking for its first major trophy since 2002. And who can blame them? The 2010 team, though good in the final, were not the force of the 2010 World Cup.

And Neymar is not the best player in the World Cup. He’s the second best player in the World Cup if you’re the manager of the other Brazil team, Pele. But Neymar isn’t the first guy to miss the World Cup by himself. That honour goes to Mario Balotelli, and he missed by himself in 2006 and 2010. So Neymar is probably even less of a hero than Pele.

If I had to choose between Barcelona and a good club in the middle of a city, Barcelona would be my choice. They have done well for a few years now. I know a lot of guys who play for them. They have got a lot of trophies.

But Neymar wants to stay in Barcelona. And that makes this question worth looking at. What does he want?

What would Neymar want if he were to come back to Barcelona?

The Barcelona manager.

He’s a great manager. But he’s in a great team, and if you look back at the Brazilian World Cup squad, the only guy who played like he didn’t have anyone on his side was Neymar.

He wasn’t even on the team because he was the second best player in the World Cup. He played in the first match. He had a really spectacular game. That must have made Pep Guardiola mad. He’s probably not going to lose his best player to
