On 24 January 2016, Kanye West’s “I’m On One” music video was a “must-watch” on YouTube, with a million and a half views in the first ten days after its release.

As “I’m On One” was about to become the first music video by a black musician to top YouTube, “The Life That We Live In” was already in the top ten songs on the App Store as an app demo and “I’m On One” was selling well in the UK.

“The Life That We Live In” was released to number one on iTunes on 18 January, while “I Am A God” was number one on both Apple Japan and Google Play.

While “I’m On One” was only available on iTunes, it was available on every major video-sharing site, including YouTube, VEVO, Metacafe, and the BBC iPlayer.

When “I’m On One” reached number one on iTunes, it was immediately available on every major video-sharing site. It was available on Apple TV, Chromecast, Google TV, Chromecast Audio, and Roku.

“I’m On One” was also available on the iHeart Radio app, with all fifty states playing the song.

As an app demo, “I’m On One” became the most downloaded song by a black musician ever on the App Store.
